Grand Seiko SLGA007 Limited Edition Press Release REACTION 2021

Grand Seiko SLGA007 Limited Edition 2021 was just announced last night and here is my first thoughts and reaction to the press release. The SLGA007 uses the new 9RA2 5-Day Spring Drive Limited Edition to 2,021 pieces worldwide and the blue dial is inspired by Minamo which is the gentle sway of waves of Lake Suwa. Grand Seiko's Epson factory that produces the 9R Spring Drive and 9F Quartz movements is located right outside of Lake Suwa, where Grand Seiko takes a lot of inspiration from their dials. The SLGA007 is the first time a Spring Drive Automatic watch has had its power reserve on the caseback and the watch follows the Series 9 Design.
