Details:
On October 3rd, 1962, the Speedmaster CK 2998 became the first OMEGA worn in space, when the astronaut Walter Schirra wore his personal model on the Sigma 7 mission of the Mercury programme. This updated version is a tribute to that pioneering timepiece and captures the same 2nd generation Speedmaster style in modern form. This legendary Speedmaster returns, reimagined for a new generation. A tribute to the original featuring the “Dot Over Ninety” and vintage OMEGA logo, with a new sapphire crystal that recreates the classic domed shape of the 1962 model.
The watch is driven by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861, which is the most up-to-date version of the Calibre 321 worn by astronauts in space. Each watch is delivered inside a special presentation box with a “LEGENDARY MOONWATCH” leaflet inside.

When should I get a maintenance service?
Water-resistance timepieces are recommended to get checked yearly for a water-resistance check. A complete maintenance service of the watch is typically recommended after 5 years. If you notice any sudden changes in your watch's timekeeping, pushers/crown not operating, water moisture in dial, no energy in battery etc, we recommend you do a service immediately to prevent any further damage that can be costly to you down the road.
