Every Carat & Co. Certified Pre-Owned timepiece is carefully inspected and evaluated prior to being offered for sale.

Our Certified Pre-Owned program is designed to provide greater confidence when purchasing a pre-owned timepiece through Carat & Co., with an emphasis on authenticity, condition, functionality, transparency, and after-sales support.

Inspected for Authenticity

Each Certified Pre-Owned timepiece is inspected for authenticity and evaluated by Carat & Co. prior to being offered for sale.

We review the watch and available accompanying documentation and accessories as part of our evaluation process.

Condition & Function

Each Certified Pre-Owned watch is inspected for its overall condition and essential functions, including, where applicable:

• Movement operation and timekeeping

• Date function

• Crown and winding operation

• Chronograph and other mechanical complications

• General functional condition

• Water resistance, where specifically tested

The condition of each pre-owned watch may vary based on its age, previous use, service history, and prior ownership. Relevant condition information is disclosed to the best of our knowledge at the time of sale.

1-Year Limited Warranty

Qualifying Carat & Co. Certified Pre-Owned watches that are not covered by an active manufacturer or applicable third-party warranty at the time of purchase are provided with a Carat & Co. 1-Year Limited Warranty.

Coverage begins on the original date of purchase from Carat & Co. and continues for one (1) year.

If a Certified Pre-Owned watch is already protected by an active manufacturer or applicable third-party warranty at the time of purchase, the watch will remain subject to that existing warranty and will not receive an additional Carat & Co. 1-Year Limited Warranty.

What Our Limited Warranty Covers

The Carat & Co. 1-Year Limited Warranty is intended to cover eligible defects affecting the mechanical and functional operation of the watch under normal use.

Depending upon the watch, eligible coverage may include:

• Movement and mechanical operation

• Timekeeping

• Date function

• Crown and winding functions

• Chronograph or other applicable mechanical complications

• Other internal mechanical functions determined by Carat & Co. to require covered service

Water resistance is covered only where the watch was specifically tested and represented by Carat & Co. as water resistant at the time of sale, and remains subject to the limitations of the tested rating.

What Is Not Covered

The Carat & Co. Limited Warranty does not cover cosmetic condition, normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, or damage resulting from improper handling.

Examples of items not covered include:

• Scratches, dents, dings, or other cosmetic wear

• Scratched, chipped, cracked, or broken crystals

• Scratches or damage to the case, bezel, caseback, dial, or hands

• Normal wear to bracelets, straps, clasps, buckles, or other external components

• Leather, rubber, fabric, or other straps

• Polishing, refinishing, or cosmetic restoration

• Normal deterioration associated with the age of the watch

• Damage resulting from impact, accident, misuse, neglect, or improper handling

• Damage caused by exposure to water beyond the watch's tested or stated water-resistance capability

• Water or moisture damage where water resistance was not specifically tested and represented by Carat & Co. at the time of sale

• Damage caused by unauthorized repair, service, modification, alteration, or opening of the watch

• Loss or theft of the watch

Cosmetic services, polishing, refinishing, replacement straps or bracelets, and other non-covered repairs may be available through Carat & Co. at the owner's expense.

Warranty Service

If you experience a mechanical or functional issue with a watch covered by the Carat & Co. 1-Year Limited Warranty, please contact Carat & Co. before having the watch serviced by another party.

The watch must be returned to Carat & Co. for inspection and evaluation.

Carat & Co. will determine whether the reported issue qualifies for coverage under the Limited Warranty. If covered, Carat & Co. will arrange for the appropriate repair or service at no charge to the customer, subject to the terms and limitations of this warranty.

Repairs or services performed by an unauthorized third party after purchase may affect or void Carat & Co. warranty coverage.

Proof of purchase and the applicable Carat & Co. warranty card may be required when requesting warranty service.

Important Warranty Information

The Carat & Co. Certified Pre-Owned program is an independent inspection and warranty program administered by Carat & Co.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Carat & Co. Certified Pre-Owned watches are not certified, sponsored, endorsed, or warrantied by the original watch manufacturer.

Manufacturer names and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used solely for identification of the watches offered for sale.

The Carat & Co. 1-Year Limited Warranty applies only to qualifying watches purchased directly from Carat & Co. and is subject to the terms, conditions, limitations, and exclusions described on this page.
