Design: Hand-crafted guilloché dial with intricate écaille de poisson pattern, turned by China’s first guilloché master craftsman, Cheng Yucai. 
Four-layered dial construction, inspired by ancient Chinese architectural tenets of Sunmao (friction/imbrication through mortise and tenon joints).
Chinese huiwen-patterned chapter ring, printed in Super-LumiNova ®, X1 grade.
Hands: Hand-bent minutes and seconds, Voluminous, rhodium-plated, leaf-shaped hands with Super-LumiNova ®, X1 grade.
Markers: Applied rhodium-plated indices.

Bracelet:
904L brushed stainless bracelet with individually chamfered links and exceptional attention to finish. Tapering from 22mm at the case to 18mm at the clasp, and thinning gradually from 3mm at the case to 2.6mm at the clasp.

AN ETHEREAL, MISTY BLUE
缥 (Piāo) exemplifies a blue that is ethereal, silky and misty.

缥 (Piāo) does not have a fixed appearance, and is meant to change based on environment and lighting. It is reminiscent of vague images and sceneries, such as the looming appearance of distant mountains or the almost nostalgic beauty of a river waking up at the dawn of spring, fuelled by melting snow. It is hazy, elusive and hard to describe, calling to mind blue waves flowing peacefully to a distant place where the water and the sky meet.

The colour was explored in Wu Jun’s famous ‘Letter to Zhu Yuansi’ essay where the Liang dynasty poet, historian and official presents to his friend Zhu Yuansi a charming picture of the landscape around the Fuyang River, in today’s Zhejiang province.
